Coming from work this morning totally random FCW unavailable and Amber fault message in the DIC. I initially thought system reset. Cycled FCW button off/on a couple of times. Further on I got the “Service Ddive Assist System “ message…..or as I call it….the AMOD…(Amber Messge of Death). Couldn’t find anything obvious and figured shut vehicle down and see if it faults again during next start.
Any thoughts? Could it be as simple as cleaning the FCW sensors and if so….where are they?
So far messages are Amber as in caution and fault…..not the red WARNING or Fail.
One thing I learned in almost 40 years of driving….red is WArNING/ FAIL as in immediate corrective action…..
Amber Caution/fault…..
Anything else besides the obvious green for turn signals and blue for high beams is more…..NOTE and advisory message as in system is active or standby.
Going one step further….Dark/Quiet/12 O’Clock…….aviation logic but same concept if no lights assume running normal in the background.
