That is true and my one credit card that I even have has been open for about 12 years now so that might explain that. I'm just amazed that the wife's is higher than mine with no income Before she cancelled her one card her limit on that was about 4 times higher than the limit on mine for some reason.
Do you give her the 'additional card' from your CC's? My GF is an additional card holder for like 4 of my CC's so it's indirectly affecting her credit score too.
Even if you don't use the whole limit, it's good to have a high limit so you'll stay nice and low under the 1/3 limit rule.
