Fill me in on some Muffler information

What dimensions do I need to be looking at for my 2012 Tahoe LT 5.3? Are there any special bypasses I need to know about, or is it a simple cut and re-weld? I'm looking to run a muffler with a turndown after my rear axle, so if you guys have any recommendations or sound clips, please fill me in!

Its just cut and weld up. Real easy. Just make sure to get a 3" inlet muffler to weld up to factory pipe. Outlet can be whatever size you want. Cost me $70 at the local Midas to have a Magnaflow 12589 welded up in place.

I ran a magnaflow on my 07 Denali. Stock pipe with resonator delete to a 4" turndown. Sounded perfect to me.

Had a shop buy the muffler and exhaust tip. Redid a lot of the piping $224 out of the door
