lq4 block ...and now doing pistons and rods

ended up getting some better pistons and rods to squeeze alil more power out of this setup...and as far as the lsxr intake manifold goes it should be around 15hp but im using with this setup to make sure there will be enough air to feed the ls2 heads with the cam...if i remember correctly the intake manifold cost like $1000.....as soon as all the parts r at the shop i will get some pics of what the complete set up will be with the intake manifold, fuel rails, heads, cam, rockers, lifters, pushrods, pistons and piston rods...and i will get the performabuilt tranny in there too! i hoping this motor will be putting out atleast 500hp

im interested to see how the ls2 setup compares to the L92 setup hp wise. what is the casting number of the ls2 heads? L92 heads can be bought for about 600-700 new and flow around 320. they make 550hp on a lq4 with a matching cam and ls3 intake.

im not sure how the ls2 heads compare. as far as i know, a ls2 is basically an all aluminum lq4. lq4s and lq9s have the 317 heads, which are VERY similar to the ls6 heads, only difference being combustion chamber. so if thats the case, i dont see how the ls2 heads can be any better than the 317s. i can point you to an article about makin 480hp with the 317s and stock shortblock if interested
