im interested to see how the ls2 setup compares to the L92 setup hp wise. what is the casting number of the ls2 heads? L92 heads can be bought for about 600-700 new and flow around 320. they make 550hp on a lq4 with a matching cam and ls3 intake.

im not sure how the ls2 heads compare. as far as i know, a ls2 is basically an all aluminum lq4. lq4s and lq9s have the 317 heads, which are VERY similar to the ls6 heads, only difference being combustion chamber. so if thats the case, i dont see how the ls2 heads can be any better than the 317s. i can point you to an article about makin 480hp with the 317s and stock shortblock if interested

are you talking 480whp?...

L92 heads are far superior! But the OP has a very nice build going. He is up'in his compression ratio a good bit, The intake is far overkill with such a baby cam like the 218 but it should be a beast when finished. That cam would be a beast with TQ and mid for a heavy SUV.

I would love to have that intake with my 230/230 spec cam.

500hp is very hope full, especially not without the L92 heads. With that cam, and his heads, even with a 11:1 compression ration, I would say 400-430HP.
