Finally getting somewhere on my speaker box build

I started working out my ideas for the speaker box I'm building for my 04 Denali. Nothing crazy just a single 12". The box itself fits behind the driver side rear panel kind of like the 02-03 trucks. My box takes up most of the room in the cavity though and the face of the speaker box is actually the stock panel. I filled all the holes and glassed it over. I also glassed the box itself. Next step is to get them lines up and fiberglass them together. I forgot to take a pic with the speaker actually in the box as I cut the hole today. Here is what the two pieces look like before I cut the speaker hole. Yes I know it started to delaminate. Once both pieces are together I'm going to grind down the top layer and redo it.

Have done the same thing in a few of my vehicles, as I'm a General Contractor, and can't afford to give up space. My '88 S-10 Blazer, '90 Suburban, '96 Tahoe, '01 Suburban, and now my '04 Yukon XL. Here's a few of my XL:

Also did a center console for a pair of 10's for lower midbass (60-100hz).

Console is now carpeted, two tones of gray. Lower portion (base) still needs to be finished, will be doing some black vinyl. Also have some blue LEDs to put in the base, have light come from the "port" holes.

I know that the way i have it built, I'm effectively making a 4th order enclosure for my midbass. Assuming the sealed (front) enclosure is about .65 cu ft net, and the base is roughly 1.2 cu ft, I'm using (10) 2" ports @ 1 1/2" long..... it's probably tuned to something like 600hz.

Those look pretty good. I'm trying to keep the rear box as stock as possible which is why I'm using the stock panel for the face. At some point I'm going to redo the sub in the console too. The rest of my speakers are starting to go so if I have to swap them out I might as well do everything else. a 10" in the front and a 12" in the rear should be plenty of bass for me.
I'll have some more pics tomorrow. I finished fiberglasing it today and am going to sand it tomorrow

Finally got the box sanded down (mostly) and test fit it. Holy crap it's loud even with a crappy amp. best of all no rattling inside or out of the truck. I've still got more sanding to do and need to figure out how to get the stock looking texture into the paint. Anyone have any ideas?
