how did you notch the frame?
I see the picture but how did you go about doing it?
this looks like a simple enough install.. I've been planning bags for a while but never pulled the trigger on them

That is a clean install Grocery, looks real good.
If I were you though I would probably dump that exhasut before the axle, it comes scary close to the bags.

Yeah, it's not ideal. You should have seen it this morning. Initially it was about 1/2'' from the pipe but I stopped by the muffler shop this morning and had them cut the pipe and move it as far as possible. While it's not an ideal situation it's about 3-4'' away now, you can fit your fist in between, it looks a lot closer in the pic I posted though. I am also going to throw a heat/thermo shield on the pipe just to be that much safer.....

I did't do the install but what I think he did was use some fatty steel pipe he had and just cut it in half, traced the diameter, cut the notch, then welded the steel pipe in. We talked about boxing it in and reinforcing it but since I don't tow or even have 3rd row seats he didn't feel it was needed and he's the pro so I let him do his thang......

Not anytime soon, I really just wanted to be riding level @ 32'' all the way around and I am so I'm cool for a while. In order to go lower I need thinner tires so when my tires need replacing I will get some 285's and then think about baggin' the front...... Starting the sleeve on my right arm Saturday so my scrilla' will be wrapped up in tattoos for four or five months....

Looks good man!

Will those bags flex close enough to the exhaust to do some damage? Is your exhaust on hangers that will let it sway? Honestly I think I'm just asking rhetorically bc I would worry about that personally GG. I was surprised how much my exhaust moved. I know some say not to worry but thats just me, I'm over paranoid.

Believe me I was worried and that's why I
Had the pipe moved over. It looks closer than it is in the pic it is 3" or so from the closest spot and I'm gonna put up a heat shield.... While I
Am sure my exhaust moves a smidge it is welded to the hangers which in turn are bolted to the frame, I
Can't move it with my hands.....

I drive around with my baby girl everyday and I sure wouldn't risk it.......that's why stop
#1 after dropping her off was the muffler shop
