Congratulations! ~ I'm happy for you Bro. I'm glad you found the one you were looking for. Looks like a beautiful car - hard to find them that clean with low miles. What size and load range tires did it come with?

Appreciate that man. It was between a 2016 with 94,000 miles and this 2014 with 41,000 miles. The 2014 seemed to be the one to go with.

The tires are "General Grabbers", 265/70/R17...115 S Standard Load is what they are labeled as. Are these decent tires for the ride?

4. Taking out the spotlight/possibly the front bumper. Just seeing if you guys had any experience with this, it's probably the first thing I'll do. I'm already seeing people slowing down as they approach me haha.

I laughed out loud the first time it happened to me on my way home from picking up my 1995 Caprice 9C1. It was after dark. After a while, it became a bit of a bother having cars bunch up around me on the freeway, so I took it off. Back in 2000, I think the max speed in Texas at night was 65. And in town the freeway limit was 60, I believe.

Hope you enjoy your Tahoe.

Congrats on your new PPV. I recently bought a retired Florida Highway Patrol 2012 PPV and had to do some interior modifications (Steering wheel with radio controls swap, add center console seat, add DIC switch, add 3rd row seat). I posted updates on these in my thread if you want to view any of my write ups.

https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/2012-tahoe-ppv-new-owner-here.117090/

Just recently got it back after getting new paint job and it looks brand new.

The 3rd row seat is pretty much like what everyone said, you can buy the bolts and seats used online. I bought my bolts ($43.00+) and seats ($630+ Free shipping) via Ebay. Some seats can get pricey, but you just have to shop for the best price and make sure the seller (on Ebay) has a long history of very good feedback and near 100%.

Regarding the tires. My PPV came with Goodyear RSAs which is what the FDLEF typically use on all their service vehicles. The tires look fairly new and seemed to look like they had a lot of good tire tread, but they were terrible. Had so much vibration at highway speeds so I took it to my local Discount Tire and had them re-balanced, but that didn't help as the vibration was still there. I don't know if it was because it was sitting at the auction lot for about month or so, so I suspect the tires developed a flat spot, therefore I took it back to the tire store to replace them with a new set. I was going to get the Kumho Crugen HP71s, but the tire shop said they no longer stocked them because they were discontinued so went with the BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport high performance tires. What a difference that made. The vibration is gone and the ride was a lot smoother cruising at highway speeds. Can't be happier with these tires.

As far as ride handing, yeah my PPV it is a little stiffer than a non-PPV civilian Tahoe, but it doesn't bother me. I'm used to driving sports cars with stiffer suspensions.

As for the push bar and the spotlight, I think they're pretty cool so didn't remove them.

Good luck with your project.

Welcome to the forums.

Nice ride especially with the low miles.

PPV’s I’ve been told ride a little hard due to the ability maneuver easier.

If your interested in selling the front push bar with the mounting brackets I would be interested. Not sure what it would be to ship to PA.

I took your suggestions in my last thread and finally found the PPV I was looking for. It is a 2014 2wd with 41,000 actual miles. It was used at a Casino for transporting high rollers to and from the airport, etc, so it was never actually used on the force. It runs and drives great. Here are the things I want to do right away.

1. third row black matching seat. I can feel the brackets under the floor, but are these pretty easy to install? I have three kids, so I want to find one fast hopefully.

2. The ride seems a little rough/bumpy at times, have you guys replaced the shocks with anything else to help improve the ride at all or suggest anything else I can do. Which parts would you recommend? We are planning on taking it on a pretty long trip, so I was hoping to get this done pretty soon. The wife already mentioned how it feels going over a pothole. The ride doesn't seem too bad on the highway, but it would be nice to fix it.

3. Stock center console, or possibly the console that has a cooler in it (not sure if these are any good).

4. Taking out the spotlight/possibly the front bumper. Just seeing if you guys had any experience with this, it's probably the first thing I'll do. I'm already seeing people slowing down as they approach me haha.

I look forward to hearing some of your replies and suggestions. I'm ready to get started on it right away!

I snapped some quick pictures, but I'll put some better ones on here when I get a chance.

What are factory options coming with the truck? Please post a pix of pro code stick that is inside of glove box.
