Does anyone else have this problem of walking out to the parking lot of your work, school, etc. and finding new dings and dents that you know for sure you didn't do? I know this is somewhat of a standard parking lot hazard but it's been happening quite frequently to me. Either this is just one of those things people deal with or I go to a school with uncommonly clumsy/careless people. I've found like 4-5 dents and gouges in my doors in the past 2 years. And I always park in the middle of the space, not on or over the lines. I feel like I need to start parking in some far away corner somewhere.

Here's two of the more recent ones... the gouge to the right and the dent under the E in Tahoe

I know this is a thing that happens but just wondering what the frequency is for you guys

All the ******* time!
Most people who park do not give a shit about slamming a door into your car... especially the ones with 18 kids!
It truly sucks man because I always carefully open my door and if it is going to touch the car next to me I wedge my hand in between to stop the door from touching.

Nothing you can do but learn PDR! :happy160:

Park farther out and walk a few extra steps...... Its pretty much what you have to do especially in these bigger vehicles that swallow up so much of the parking lot people just dont care and swing those doors out im in the process of fixing damage caused at a boat ramp by some dick *** that doesnt know how to pull a trailer, no note no nothing

My wifes hates me because I park far away from other cars or I take up two end spots with my truck. But I have to say I have no door dings.

Half of the time I come back out to the truck and there is another nice truck, suv, sports car that is parked next to me because they know why I take up two spots.

When i drive into a parking lot i survey the place and only park in the highest elevation to assure that no carts will roll downhill into my vehicle and always park as far away as possible where the careless assholes won`t park.

I never get lazy and park next to anyone regardless of weather or distance just to get closer to the store etc.

Sadly, its the way of the world now. People don't respect others things, at all. I live in an urban area. And almost every car you see has some damage. and I don't mean minor. I Park as far away from others as I can. I have some paint touchup and a dent I want to get pulled before winter. I don't need someone elses carelessness to add to my list.

I always Park in a far corner and take up 2 spaces. I don't mind walking for the sake of my truck.

I never take up two spaces as it draws attention like( hey lets purposely do something to it sense he took up multiple spots). Not saying to do or not to do it just from what I've seen that has happened. I have yet to get one, I always park in the far back and make sure people won't want to park that far away. I've had a few 80k plus cars park by me but for the same reason I'm away from other cars, they can see our cars arnt dinged or chipped.

Same here, exactly! Door dings and carts suck!

Btw, if you do have a good paintless dent repair guy in your area it's your best bet most of the time.
