Has anyone owned both tires and can give me an honest comparision? I am a die hard fan of the Revo's and even thou a few of my buddy's had the Firestone's I cannot get a real answer out of them.

I am looking on the tire rack and find it hard to believe the Firestone rates higher in regards to dry traction, steering response, deep snow, light snow, ice, ride comfort, noise and treadwear! AND the firestones are nearly 50 bucks cheaper each! I guess I answered my own question as to what tire to get him. I personally never liked firestone but WTF for as much as he is going to drive this truck he cannot go wrong.

What do you think? Anything else im missing in a 275-60-20? I think maybe a smaller tire may help the V6 plow???

Isn't the destination the tire that had all the issues with blowouts a few years back?

Had the bridgestone revo's and I hated them. Did not last long at all. Heard some good things about the firestones though

wiki: On those fords: Firestone tires (ATX, ATX II, and Wilderness AT) had very high failure rates, especially those made at Firestone's Decatur, Illinois plant. This was one of the leading factors to the closing of the Decatur plant

Wasn't the majority of the failures due to incorrect air pressure and that lead to the tire seperating. But I thought that ford said that the tire performed best at a pressure less than what firestone recommended and that is what cause most of the problems.

No it was the ATX radial, ATX radial II, and the Wilderness AT

I recently used the Firestone Destination AT's for a summer tire on my Yukon. They lasted me for a couple of seasons before they wore down to a point that I didn't want to use them again and sold them.

Honestly I never did really like them. I can't tell you specifically what I didn't like about them. Maybe something as petty as the looks, but I didn't like them.. Running Michelin cross-terrains's now for summer, and they are way better than the Destination's.

I have no experience on the Revo's other than they look good?

EDIT: BTW, I have nothing against the brand name Firestone. In fact I've tried almost every winter tire there is from most manufacturers. I've settled on Firestone Winterforce as being the best winter tire you can buy! Couldn't tell you why, but they have the most grip on snow and ice than any other tire I've ever tried. And without studs to boot!

Yes but I believe the tires still had some flawing in them. exposing the problem faster was the low air pressure issue.
