I recently used the Firestone Destination AT's for a summer tire on my Yukon. They lasted me for a couple of seasons before they wore down to a point that I didn't want to use them again and sold them.

Honestly I never did really like them. I can't tell you specifically what I didn't like about them. Maybe something as petty as the looks, but I didn't like them.. Running Michelin cross-terrains's now for summer, and they are way better than the Destination's.

I have no experience on the Revo's other than they look good?

EDIT: BTW, I have nothing against the brand name Firestone. In fact I've tried almost every winter tire there is from most manufacturers. I've settled on Firestone Winterforce as being the best winter tire you can buy! Couldn't tell you why, but they have the most grip on snow and ice than any other tire I've ever tried. And without studs to boot!

I guess to each his own... I took off and sold brand new Cross Terrains as they did not handle well in the dry, wet, snow or ice. One of the worst tires I ever owned.....JMHO

Any reason why you purchased the firestone's for a summer tire?

LOL... yup to each his own I guess.... BTW, I don't use the cross terrain's in winter. I would imagine they would be bad for that. I like em because they are comfortable? I do alot of HWY driving which then turns into a gravel road....not much city driving.

I previously bought the Destination's for three reasons.
1) They were really cheap at the time.
2) They were the same price as Dayton Timbreline AT's. I previously bought Timbrelines and really didn't like them, so I thought I'd try out the Destinations.
3) I usually only run new sets of summer/winter tires for two years and then sell them off, alternating on my two trucks. So I'm buying new summer and winter tires sets once a year. I usually like to experiment with manufacturers and tires based on price and online reviews, etc. So one year I bought Destinations for my truck ran them for two summers and sold them. That's it.

Those tires are nuts! IMO there a strictly offroad tire, not something I would drive on the highway with daily....If I had a stict plow truck I may consider them but I need something best of both worlds....

I used to work at a tire shop, and we sold both of those tires. Everyone seemed to really like the Destinations. We had more than a few returns of the revos. I am curretly trying to decide if I should buy the Destinations or Michelin LTX MS/2. Im thinking the Michelins, but they are really expensive.

edit: We sold the destination LE. I dont really know about the AT.

Why did people return the Revo's?? I NEVER heard that in my life!

The destination LE's actually suck, decent dry traction but less the favorable ice, light snow and deep snow nevermind treadwear. Are you sure people didnt return the LE's and buy the Revo's?

Do yourself a favor buy the MS2's FORGET the Destination LE's!

I dont really remember the main complaint, noise I think. Even the manager tried the Revos and traded them for the Destinations. I do remember the salesman saying the Destinations wernt very good in the snow, but they were pushing blizzaks so I dont kow if that was just an angle or not.
