I'm trying to figure out what went wrong.... I have smoke coming from the intake

Looks like a used engine. Could just be oil and stuff burning off as it gets hot. You were filming more of the valve cover, which if its leaking it runs down on the exhaust manifold and will burn off. Lube those door hinges while you're at it.

SRTH8R thanks I just order a Doorman hinge kit I gotta replace the hinges and bushings

Figured it out

my heater hose was rubbing against another hose and burning

probably should clean that baby so you can see where the leaks are coming from.

i hook my hose up to my hot water heater and giver a soak with purple cleaner for a couple minutes then spray the hot water on it. works great.

it will help you see where the oil is coming from.

Doh! Totaly forgot about that!
I wonder if a hot water heater drain can supply a 1500 psi electric pressure washer or of it will need to be plumbed into the standard hot water circut out the top.
Hmm! Tankless propane heater would probably rock n roll for hot water cleaning a engine bay and gunk from the under body..

Interesting...
