The ratchet strap cracked me up! I would recommend some brackets pretty soon haha

I used to have an onboard air system, 5 gal tank, 2 viair compressor, nathan k3, etc. Lot of fun but it seemed like I was always having to mess with wiring, pressure switches, leaks, etc. Very useful though!

Yeah I am working out something for brackets right now..guess the anticipation got the best of me on that one..lol..

finally had the time to make a bracket for the tank. took me a few hours to make and a lot of patience with it, but its better than the ratchet straps..i can now put my spare tire back on and call it a day. the only thing left i need to do is order the Viair mounting bracket for the compressor and that will be set. so far this thing has been awesome!!

Well I see an issue with your setup. You have all of your fittings on the bottom of your tank. Where does water collect? On the bottom. Your pressure switch and wiring are on the bottom asking to be knocked off from road debris. All of the water will be blown out the horn causing a short life span. Time to re-think your install and move it to a better/safer place.

fittings, lines need to be up top and drain plug on bottom. You're almost asking it to fail

makes sense...honestly did not even think about any of that happening. with that said, i can just switch where the safety relief and drain fittings around and flip the tank so everything is on top. ill get on it probably tomorrow when its nice out. not sure where else to mount the tank itself but ill look underneath and see.. thanks for the help and advice guys, its a big help!!

Nice system. I was looking for something like this because I air down a lot when I'm on the beach and need something to get me back up into the 30's quickly. Thanks for this thread man.
