First time buyer

Hey all, i've been lurking the forums for awhile now since im heavily considering purchasing a tahoe. My original goal was a black Z71 with under 100k miles for around 14k. After awhile of searching i'm starting to become a lot more open to color options and now i've found a 2003 Tahoe 4x4 LS in my price range.

Are there really enough differences between the LS and the Z71 to make me pass on this LS? Ive read multiple threads, some say the only difference is appearance and some say suspension etc...This LS has the sunroof, steering wheel controls, push button 4x4, only difference in appearance i've really noticed is it doesnt have leather which I could care less about since they will have camo seat covers over them instantly.

Also if I go look at this tahoe is there anything in particular I should look for? Any common issues with these? This would be the first vehicle I purchase on my own so any help is appreciated. Also I know very little about cars so try not to confuse me if possible Any help/feedback is appreciated

Check parking brake, intermediate steering shaft(rattle when turning wheel) and just a full once over.
There are differences between the two. What they are can't really be said since all models are different. Some come with rear entertainment, others don't. Some have this, some have that. The trucks really vary, so just look at the features and if you like them go for it. Otherwise keep looking.
