My driver's door speaker wasn't playing when i purchased my 2005 Yukon w/ Bose system. I figured it was just a blown speaker, so i looked on here and took off the door panel. I hooked some speaker wire from the boombox in my garage to it and Bam! it played fine, and a multimeter didn't show open circuit. So i hooked up the boomboxes speaker to the plug in the door and it played also. Further inspection revealed the factory speaker harness plug was in bad shape and not allowing connection. Stripped wire back and bypassed the connectors by soldering to the leads on the speaker and i'm back in business for $0. Just a reminder to test these things, buying a brand new speaker woulldn't have fixed my issue here and cost me at least 60 bucks
