My drivers seat heater quit about 4 years ago. I researched what the problem could be, and most cases it was the heating element in the seat cushion, and to replace it was big $$$. Well, yesterday decided to take a peek. Took the seat out of the truck, removed the bottom track, etc, and peeled back the bottom cushion. Lo and behold, right where the heated seat wires change to the really thin heating wires, was a tiny burn mark (almost looked like a tiny brown stain). Peeled back the foam a bit, and saw that the heated wire was kinked in that spot, and had burned through. So what I did was trim it back a bit, connected a short (2") 18ga jumper, soldered it, and put it back together. Hurray! Heated seat again! The wife is happy! And all it cost me was about 1 hour of time.

Hmm... I should look into that, mine quit working too, and I don't like having my seat make my butt numb when I first get in when it's anything less than -20 out.
