Flasher module issues

About a week ago, I noticed any time I put on my left turn signal, my hazards would come on. So I then ordered a new flasher unit. Once I installed today, it fixed the problem, but created a new one. Now every time I put either turn signal, the flash twice, maybe even three times the rate at which they used. Any insight would be much appreciated

The original part number was gm #15764135. I Replaced it with ACDelco #10383320. That was recommended with the heavy duty trailering package (VR4) which my truck has

Are you using LED Bulbs ?? If so there is an updated flasher
that is compadable for low draw LED bulbs The model number
at least for my 2004 GMC is LM487 which is LED compatible

No, I'm not using LED bulbs, I'm just using the standard bulbs. Most of the research I did was referring to that, but thank you.
