Who has added a physical flex fuel sensor? Which sensor did you use and where did you pin it in the ecu?
I’m looking to add one to my 13 Denali.

@iamdub did it but he's on hiatus for a while. His story starts about at the link below (and he provides detail links a few posts down from that):

Hey thanks again. That was exactly what I was looking for. I just did a dod delete with a gpi cam and my tuner wanted me to get a physical sensor before he turned flex fuel back on.

Installed my sensor this past weekend. I followed a thread from performancetrucks forum. Ended up making my own fuel line. I also bought a breakout harness from ballenger motorsports for the power and ground. It plugs into an ignition coil so you don’t have to splice the wires.
Parts I used:

Ballenger Motorsports CONN-85931

2
Russell Push-On EFI Fittings 611233 from summit

Summit Racing™ Premium Braided Nylon Hose -6 AN 3 ft. SUM-240603BP

ACDelco GM Genuine Parts Flex Fuel Sensors 13507128

Hoypeyfiy flex fuel sensor harness from amazon

GM part #13575575 - Wire for pinning pcm

Truck is cammed and remote tuned by GPI so I already had a flex fuel file to load in once I had it hooked up. I didn’t take a picture of it installed but I will get one.

So your Denali has the same 6.2 L94 flex fuel motor in my Escalade ESV; Help me understand the benefit of adding a physical sensor vs your truck already being able to run flex fuel from the factory?

The virtual calculation takes time, the sensor is instantaneous. The virtual calculation can become distorted with older and aftermarket oxygen sensors. It stands to reason that the sensor is more accurate allowing for more precise ethanol tuning if desired.
