How difficult would it be to swap out my stock muffler for a Flowmaster 40 and temporarily clamp it in place until a friend of mine returns and can weld it for me? I'm talking about cutting out the stock and putting the flowmaster right in it's place. What extra piping, clamps, etc. would I need. This is on a 2004 5.3L Yukon. It appears as though the stock system is 3" inlet 2.5" dual outlets that recombine into a single exhaust pipe exiting behind the passenger tire. Thanks for any help guys

Stock is 2.75"

use a 3" to replace it

I'd just wait for your friend to be ready with the welder...
