So I just got my flowmaster 50 series delta muffle in the mail today to find out that it was a 3" in and a 3" out while my stock muffle is a duel in single out. My question is should I return it and get the 50 series suv muffler which is a 2 in single out or have the exhaust shop make a custom y pipe for $150 and how ever much more for piping? Also does anyone know of a good sounding cat back exhaust? Thanks

thes have decent exhaust on them, so IMHO forget catback, thought of just adding the muffler on, and a simple turn down after muffler for deep rumble? Thats' only like $15-$20

I just want to have a nice deep tone something with a little rummble so I decided to get this muffler. I thought it was just going to be as easy as cut out the old muffler weld in the new one. What do you think I sould do. The shop I am going to get the work done at said it would be 150 for a Y pipe and then labor, sounds to expencive.

I tend to agree with your gut feel on the y-pipe pricing. You've got a few options:
1. Purchase a y-pipe yourself and just have your shop weld it on with the muffler you have.
2. Return your 3" I/O and take the 2.25" DI/DO DeltaFlow 50/SUV muffler in my garage - took it off when the tailpipe welds broke when someone tapped my rear end a few years ago (had dual tips exiting at the rear). You're welcome to it - just pay shipping and it's yours. Sounded good - nice, mellow rumble. Nothing wrong with the muffler at all, just been sitting in my garage. Figured if someone could get some use from it, all the better.
