So I left work the other night. Started my 95 tahoe up and the engine was totally cold, hadn't drove it in 10 hours. Headed home which is about 5 mins away. I pulled into the driveway, shut it off, and started walking up to my house. Not sure why I did but I just happened to look back and there was steam rolling out of the front grille/hood area. I ran back towards the tahoe and popped the hood. By the time I got to it there was no more steam but there was condensation on the top of the hood and half way up the windshield. I couldn't see any hoses or anything leaking. I even started it back up after 20 or so minutes to see if I could see the leak but I found nothing. Checked around the thermostat housing and everywhere I could think of any everything seemed fine but there was a puddle under the truck directly under the engine. It seemed to have leaked down the engine and dripped off of the starter. I soaked my hand in it and it was clear and odorless so I'm guessing it was straight water???? I thought I smelled a hint of coolant when I first popped the hood but I really wasnt sure. The fluid on the ground though was completely clear and odorless. Any ideas where it was coming from? The only "leak" I've ever had from my tahoe was water condensation from the AC. My AC has recently been short cycling and I believe its the high pressure switch. The AC will just randomly quit working one day out of the week. Could that have caused this? I haven't drove it in a few days other than around the block the day after it happened and I didn't see any leaks...

Have you checked your coolant level to make sure its still full? The area of the leak and the clearness off it indicate a/c condensation. Do you smell coolant when you are in the cab? Is your passenger side floorboard wet? Might be looking at a heater core...
