Hello all, I’ve been perusing the forums here for two years since I bought my 2500 suburban, so I figured I should sign up.
My name is Grant, 37 year old from MI with a 2012 2500 suburban LS. I bought it to tow our camper. It has the standard fair, LY6, 6L90, and the full float 10.5 axle.
It does the job, but it’s Canadian, anyone from my neck of the woods that owns a Canadian vehicle knows the problems they come with, it’s a bit crusty underneath, body is in good shape, and after sinking a few more dollars into it it’s mechanically sound now.
I’ve always wanted one of these things, especially with this LY6. I’ve got lots of experience with the LS platform (mostly circle track racing) and knew I could have some “fun” with it. Its smaller than a crew cab 2500, same driveline, and people are more comfy in it, especially with our first little one due here in September.
This forum has been a wealth of knowledge to me for the past two years of ownership, now I hopefully can contribute. Thanks all.
