Fob programming question

When we purchased our 09 tahoe it only had 1 fob with it so i got one off of amazon. When i program the new one it deactivates the original one. Reprogram the original and that deactivates the new one. Any ideas???

you have to program them together, one right after the other during the same programing time.

Anything after 2011 has to be programmed via Tech 2. Previous years allowed you to program through the DIC
