Here's the problem I with this, other than it appears that GM is using a Volkswagon fog. The key itself appears different. The pic of the fob shows a key with the grooves on the inside, whereas Chevy truck keys have their grooves on the outside. I don't see how you're going to get the key itself to work, even if you tried fabbing something up. Along with the complicated RF issue, I'd say this is a no-go unless you want to spend the time and money doing some complicated, and possibly expensive, work. If you can't swap out the key you'll have to swap the ignition lock cylinder. This may, or may not, work, but will definitely cost you a little bit of coin.

Good point on the key blade, not sure if the locksmith that cuts the key will be able to match them or not.

Also, i dont think the fob is a VW unit? The Pontiac G8 used a very similar remote, and the current Chevy Equinox uses the exact same remote as that in the camaro.

The RF issue is what i think will make it impossible, but it has to be *tried* at least! :)
