Since I have no fog lights on the Burb I have been reading though the threads and seeing what everyone else does. I will follow the sticky posted about installing factory or replica OEM fog lights cause I do want to go with the OEM switch. At this point, I'm not 100% sure what direction I want to go in.
I like the Spyder smoked lenses (http://www.protuninglab.com/tasuav-2015-2016.html) so I may go that route. And I will probably use the Vanquish LED or HID kit instead of whatever bulbs are provided. Since I have no tow hooks, I was also thinking of cutting out the faux panels and adding a second set of fogs there as well. This is where the questions start piling up.
Since the fogs are getting power from a separate power source, would a second set of fogs turn on from the factory switch or would it be an overload?
I also don't see many aftermarket fogs for the hoe/burb so I will have to use something off the shelf or custom fit a a 2nd set of Spyders to where the tow hooks would sit. I was also considering the Whelens which are pretty cool too. ( http://www.fleetsafety.com/whelen-tahoe-2015-fog-light-mount-kit-pair-black/)
If any of the electrically gifted members could comment on the "turn on switch" being an overload that would solve half my problem. I'm not a fabricator but I am pretty handy and I think I could figure out some mounting options for pair #2.
I know some of you may ask why, but I drove home from Ohio 2x's over the last year at night and I80 is not the most illuminated interstate, especially through PA. I also tend to drive a lot at night and we have a bit of a deer problem in Jersey (yeah, we don't just grow smokestacks here...lol) so I want to see what I am coming up on but since I am going for the street look I don't want to put a giant cage on the front of the truck. That's my story and I am sticking to it.
