Good afternoon,

I had fog lights installed on my 12 Tahoe and now my truck will not start. The fog lights work and all the other lights work but my truck will not start. It just make a clicking sound. Anyone know what could cause this? Any help will be appreciated.

clicking sound, "generally" means low voltage either the battery is dead or dying or has a bad cell or is almost dead or the cables are corroded or not on tight enough.
might have enough juice for lights but not enough to kick the starter over, hence the clicking sounds.

The shop that installed the fog lights checked the battery and ruled that out. They think it has something to do with the fuse box since it didn't want to start after connecting the wiring for the fog lights to the fuse box. I was thinking the battery or alternator, but the truck didn't start right after installing the fog lights.

So, the electrical pigtails for the fog lights were not already there as part of the OEM wiring harness?

No report back but they checked the battery in what manner? a load test? or what, the only thing that makes a starter make "click click click" generally is low voltage, so if it's not the battery then it's cables, maybe.....a bad starter motor
either way it's easy to figure out by doing to a voltage drop test.
if the voltage drops below 10.5 to the starter, then bad cables or battery or there is a severe short somewhere because the starter connects directly to the battery.
if the voltage is above 10.5v at the starter then it's bad or stuck or bad starter solenoid (if the later was the case it most likely would not click)
generally when a starter goes bad it does not "click" it just flat out won't work
if the fuse box was the issue the starter would not click, the clicking noise is the starter solenoid engaging but there is not enough voltage/amperage to make the starter motor spin

I found out the problem with my truck. When my fog lights were installed, he broke the gray lever locks on my fuse block and the fuse block wasn't seated back in place right. I ended up buying a new fuse block from the chevy dealership and had them install it. Thanks, for all the input I received.

very strange that it would cause a clicking, because the starter relay just activates the starter solenoid that is powered directly by the battery, there are a lot of connections, when mine had been knocked loose by a body shop it caused a no start but no clicking.
