Its supposed to be an H16 or 5202, which is a crazy looking rare bulb.

Do you know the wattage of the power supplies for your new fogs?

Want to do it as well but from what I understand the 35 watt will melt the Yukon lens and housing.

I have also heard that the 25 watt will work and not damage anything.

Would like to hear from those that have done the conversions and the wattage they used and the pros and cons.

If your looking to put HID's in your fogs then use a 25watt ballast and save yourself the headache. Some people have problems with the 35 watt ballasts melting the fog housings. I had this issue so i got 25w ballasts and have no problems at all now.

My 35 watt fogs have melted my housings. Luckily I have 2 spare housings to install, just hadn't gotten to it yet.

Where can I find the 25 watt ballasts themselves without buying a kit?

ebay seller distantxtremes_llc will sell the 25w ballast seperate if you email him. fyi the ballasts are the expensive part so you dont save a hole lot just buying the ballasts. What I did was I sold my brother my old (2 days old) 35 watt ballast and ordered a 25 watt kit from distantxtremes_llc with bulbs to fit my brothers truck. So really I didnt lose any money at all. It works out nice if you know someone looking for a hid kit.

OK...message is loud and clear. The 25 watt ballast is the way to go without causing damage to the housings or lens. Sent an email to DistantXtreme and will also be contacting DDM to see what they can do as well. I'll keep everyone up to date when I get the replies.

Thanks to everyone for the info.

I've been running 3000k 35w in my fogs for a pretty good while now with out any problems. They do get warm, but I've not had any problem with any discoloration or anything, maybe as long as you are moving with air flow it won't be a problem.

Now to tell the truth I guess the only time I use mine is in the rain or fog, that could have something to do with it also.

Installed SpencerHID 25w 6000k fogs and DDM 35W 6000k hi/low last night. Install was straight forward and I loved the drive to work early this morning.
