hey guys just a quick question about this intake, i installed it and it sounds great....have any of you removed the reducer that comes with it? is it a good idea or will i get a little more power?? only asking bc i saw an install video where they talked about it and said they could remove it but it was on a different truck.

What reducer

And the only reason I think they say disconnect the battery is for safety

I kept mine installed as well. Come to think of it, it has to stay in due to the size of the Mass Air Sensor...

I just bought my Spectre intake yesterday. Hope it comes in next week. Can't wait, my first performance mod.

after doing more research it says you can take it out if you do some other performance mods. so it is best to leave it in...just thought id throw the question out there. Youll love the intake when you get it....When it says disconnect the batter id do it.. i didnt when i installed mine and i had major lag, unhooked it the other day to reset the computer and runs like a champ now!
