You want 2" more lift on a stock truck?
I did this exact thing to my tahoe. Here's my story...
1.Got ford keys and cranked them almost all the way up
2. Truck bounced so bad I had to crank them all the way down.
3. Shocks bottomed out = new shocks $250
4. Upper a-arms were rubbing on the knuckles. Aftermarket 3" lift upper a-arms =$250
5. 1 month and ALL ball joints were bad. MOOG ball joints $210
6. 2 months after crank, both inner tie rods are shot $110
7. Shortly after, I started to hear clicking when I turned...
8. Thought it was the hub assemblies so I replaced them. $275
9. Still heard the clicking
10. Turns out my cv shafts are actually maxing out
11. Now my Pittman and idler arms are shot. Another $200..
You can get a decent 6 inch lift from rough country for $1000 and spend about 8 hours putting it on. I would add up many hours I've spent fixing this problem but it would just piss me off.
This was by far the biggest mistake I've ever made on a vehicle. I hope you didn't already make the same mistake!
