Low mileage, yes, but 78k in South Florida is hard miles. Mostly stop and go, most of the roads in that area are 35mph or less, short trips, heat, heat, heat, humidity, humidity, humidity. Honestly, the condition of Foss's truck is a testament more to his meticulous maintenance than is the low mileage.

That is the 100% truth!! Even on Sunday I-95 is a total nightmare in Miami due to ongoing construction and constant incidents. More then half of the time the 95 Express lanes are closed. Miami Beach is gridlocked 24/7.

With that said I am always amazed how Foss keeps his vehicles so clean in a land of constant passing showers and landscapers everywhere you go dumping debris on your vehicle all year long.

Wasn’t super happy with the Rejex application a few weeks back.

But this is after 2 weeks, not washed, steady winds and a couple days of rain.

This morning the paint looks pretty good.

Got some new lug nuts in to replace the ugly, rusted ones.


All around the measurements are spot on except the length.

New = 1.8
Old = 1.9

They new lugs sit inside the lug hole a little while the old ones go just past flush. The average person will not notice.

I know splitting hairs, but the details matter. Well to me anyways since it is slightly different than before.

I tightened the one lug down with the lug wrench, (still need to torque down) then checked to see how the conical seat looked up against the wheel itself. I even used a small pick to see if I could feel anything down there.

I could not detect any differential between the new and old lugs.

My main concern was whether that slight difference in length would compromise its holding power, actually be too short or really only the slight recessed look?

Probably overthinking this, but worth a question.

No. The rusty lugs were sent from NorcalSS when I bought the wheels from him. The new lugs are from Amazon.

Ah gotcha. I think you could find some oem ones on eBay for 45-50 bucks. Idk how much those were or if you wanna spend that but they would definitely fill up that lug hole better

You mean the little extra length or width in the lug hole? The current lugs (old and new) are 19mm or 3/4 socket. These were only $20.

I did think about it, but I don't think it would ultimately look good on my setup. We went round this same spiked lugs thingy with @NeverSatisfied and @Sevenevez lol Is the sun up your neck of the woods yet...or did it just set again for the 6 hours you get a day....lol
