West MacDonnell Range outside of Alice Springs
This is Standley Chasm a series of gorges and cuts in the rock Dating to billions of years old
This spot we hiked the 2km up to it twice to see the sunlight strike and walk across the chasm at high noon as it painted the walls and brought out the deep color changes of the Outback
Pretty cool just watching it change right before your eyes. There is nothing like the colors that I have ever see out there
Just like Kings Canyon a few hours south, they just rise up in the middle of the desert
Huge gum tree in one of the dry river beds.
Returning to Alice Springs after a day trip that ran late. Actually passing a Holden Dealer
