In a move to get the wife's Tahoe whipped back into shape, I got a new set of tires and a new set of shocks. I went with a basic replacement. Hers is mostly stock and it is used mostly as a daily driver to work. (20mi both ways) SO...
When I removed the rear shocks, the rear came down a little more than an inch. The right rear was leaking oil... but both shocks still had a pretty good charge on them keeping the rear jacked up. I squatted the rearend enough that the wife -being use to the way it sat originally- has suggested that I take a 1/2" out of the front.
That was quite a bit more than I expected!!!
still, with the new tires and new shocks, the ole 'hoe is riding and tracking WAY better than before... and the wife is much happier.
