free travel mod on 2/3 drop?

i did a 2/3 drop to my tahoe with shock extenders and bilstiens
do i need to do the free travel mod?

I did the same drop on my 07 rides fine with no mod
Never bottomed out yet even in NYC driving bad roads

cutting the rear bump stop bracket that is attached to the frame
to gain more travel when lowered

I bottomed out with a 2/3, so I did it on mine

i checked today and there is no much room.. i think i bottom out too

I chopped mine off when I was running the 2/4. Unless you are running helper bags I'd do the mod, shit I'd do it on a stock truck just to gain some suspension travel.
