I'm just nervous to get into something that might give me issues. I won't keep anything more than 5/6 years and will always buy the extended warranty.
What kind of issues? And what manufacturer guarantees that you won't have any issues?

Honestly the biggest adjustment for you will be service, don't expect much.
Yeah. Amazing the difference.

Got my kid a new Bronco Sport and the service department at Ford compared to Toyota and Lexus is incredible. The lack shit giving from Ford is appalling.

I moved from a Lexus (albeit a smaller one - RX 350) to a High Country Suburban because I needed lots of room and comfortable third row.

1) I really like Lexus so I did look into the GX and LX 600 first but the additional space is pretty marginal compare to the RX (RX is 192", LX is 200" - 6 inches is not much.. GX is somewhere is between) If you need the space then nothing else compares to Suburban/Yukon XL roominess (well, there is an Expedition as well but it's a Chevy forum :)

2) After lots of research and consideration I went with Suburban (instead of a Tahoe) and don't regret it one bit. My third row seats are always up (with car seats installed) and the cargo space is huge! Great for both road trips and every day grocery runs.

3) The ride is very comfortable (get the MagnaRide !) but the sound insulation is not as good as in a Lexus (road noise etc).

4) Interior quality is comparable to Lexus in a High Country (Denali Ultimate is probably even better)

5) Reliability-wise I expect worse results than a Lexus, but I purchased the longest possible extended warranty to mitigate that (search for this in the forum - there are several reputable dealers that give a very competitive price) Only buy the one from GM - avoid third-party warranties.

Overall - I'm happy with the purchase!

I think we all know that some stuff is more dependable than other stuff.

Never did I say anything about a no issue guarantee.
You said you were "nervous to get into something that might give me issues." What issues are you nervous about?

I am debating moving from Lexus to Chevy. ...saw the new refreshed Tahoe for 2025. So I now seriously considering moving from the GX550 to a High Country 2025 Tahoe with Diesel.

You're going to love it! Especially once you understand the designer's intent between the differences of Toyota's philosophy and GM's
