Hi all!

I am debating moving from Lexus to Chevy. I haven't been in Lexus long, but have driven Toyotas for 20 years.

I have a new GX550 Lux+ and it is just too small and uncomfortable. I thought it would be perfect coming from 4Runners, but no.

So I started looking and saw the new refreshed Tahoe for 2025. So I now seriously considering moving from the GX550 to a High Country 2025 Tahoe with Diesel.

Am I making a solid choice here or asking from problems?
Hi Bobby. Sorry to hear that your $90k Lux+ is a bust. I have had 4 GX460's (still have three). I had the HOTS for two years to get the new 550. I finally drove one. It was very underwhelming. I was dumbfounded by it's austere interior and lack of room. I thought it was going to be quite a bit more spacious inside than my 460's. It wasn't as quick from a standstill as I had anticipated either. In any case, I'm riding with my '16, '21 and '23 GX460's for the foreseeable future. Two are prem+ sport design vehicles. I was surprised that the 550's reduced a number of standard options or totally eliminated them. For example KDSS is now only available on the Overtrail+, the second row seats no longer are on adjustable seat tracks, the long awaited buttons for the HVAC and other accessories are now gone in favor of a flat screen, plus some others. Having stated my cult following for the 460, I must admit that I was a died in the wool GM SUV guy...I had many variants of the Trailblazer--Buick Rainier, Envoy Denali, Saab 9X (V8), Yukon's, Escalade, and my favorite, 2010 Tahoe LTZ. Ever since they redesigned them in 2014, they have had various issues. Please check out the ongoing valve lifter, and now, main bearing issues. Some are on the 5.3, some 6.2 V8's. Electronic gremlins that have stranded families on vacation away from major metropolis'. There have been some diesel issues that I've read about. I do believe that they have improved and modified the '25 diesel engines. My comments are not to dissuade you, but just presented to keep your expectations real. Good luck with whatever direction you choose!
