So I have a 2007 LT3 which unfortunately got hit and the ******* ran. Well its going to a buddys body shop sunday and getting a LTZ bumper put on it. I am wondering, is it possible to shave the front bowtie? Right now I have a custom chrome lay over on it which looks very similar to the ltz, and my bowtie is blacked out. I want it gone. Has anyone done this with a new bumper? It looks like you just fill the holes where the bowtie sits and paint away...But the upper grille looks like it has a bump out to fit around the tie. Whats the solution here...

You'd have to get a guy who's very good at working with plastic to make it work and look right. Would definitely look good, though!
