Find a Eaton Trutrack for the rear.
Theirs a stigma around gear building. So "performance" and 4x4 shops can charge what ever they want. I mean for chevy 10 bolts its a piece of piss. 1 hour to tear down, knock races out and clean up, about an hour to knock new races in press the bearings onto the carrier, test fit everything for pinion depth and do the crush sleeve for pinion preload.. then like another hour to set up contact pattern, torque everything slap the cover on and fill it up.. add a half hour if you did axle bearings and seals. Ill do it all day long for 250-300 labour allday long.Is the TrueTrac hard to install in the rear? I was quoted $620 labor which I thought was on the high side.

No problem, make sure you have a dial indicator and a inch pound dial type torque meterYea, that's what I thought. I'd pay $300 for labor as a fair price and be done with it. I'll be doing this myself in a couple weeks......thanks for the reply...
