my 4hi was blinking this morning so i started investigating. looked under truck and saw 4 wires cut clean and a empty plug on the front diff. looks like someone needed a new plug and swiped it from my truck.

The generic diagrams from Haynes do not show the “pin outs”. What you could do is check out the wires with a meter to see what does what in what switch position and then take a +12 and ground clip lead and touch the pins in the actuator.

They obviously change polarity to reverse direction, so it will be two pins make it go one way and two pins make it move back. The fifth pin should be a indicator signal that is either going to ground or showing a + 12 when energized.

Or you could try to purchase that portion of a wiring harness from GM or visit a salvage yard and get the section you need.

Another possibility would be finding someone with a connection to one of the auto info services and get a detailed schematic from them. :)

I just went out and checked my Tahoe. It's a 95 and it's manual for engaging the 4 wheel, but the plug and front actuator, looks the same.

Looking at your picture, if the upper left pin were pin #1 and the upper right, Pin #2, the middle, # 3 and lower left #4 and lower right #5,

I have Green on pin #1 Pin's 2 and 3 are not used and Black on pin #4 and Brown on pin #5.

From that I would guess that pins 2 and 3 are used for your indicator lights. Hope that helps..........

The brown is power (when ignition is on)

Black and LT/Blue control actuator

Black/white is feedback to TCCM
