Hey everyone. This is my first post I have used the forum a lot for help with my Tahoe. I bought it 6 months ago with a bad motor and its been a work in progress ever since. When I bought the 99 4 dr it had been sitting for about 3 years in Texas and was in great shape and very clean except for some very minor cosmetic issues, one of wich being door sag. I have replaced the hinge pins obviously and it did bring both doors back up to no sag but both front doors actually sit when closed about a half inch further in than they should. I read that the striker bolt was adjustable somewhere and tried to move it out but no luck. Doesn't seem to want to move in any direction? Not wanting to loose the nut on the inside I didn't loosen it too far but what I thought was sufficient. Anybody seen the doors do this on the obs? Its not a huge problem I just hate little things like this they annoy me haha. Thx

Yea bushings and pins. They all went in good. Snug fit with no excessive wear to the holes in the hinge. The striker looks pretty worn but I can't imagine that it would allow it to be off that far. Do you know if there is any truth to these strikers being movable or not?? If so I will try that again.

Check your body mounts... I had an S-10 Blazer with a body lift, the mounting points for the body had rusted so bad, the body settled about 1/2", and the doors wouldn't close. I loosened up all the bolts, took the lift pucks off the offending mounts, and cut 1/4" off them. I then made a 1/4" plate to slip between the lift blocks and the mounts, problem solved, the doors lined up again.
