front driveshaft

on my 00 denali, been looking for this clicking noise i he4ar and i found the front driveshaft has alil rotaional play in it, not alot, but some...then also should u be able to rotate the front driveshaft by hand w lil ease..the rear is solid tight, its stays in 2wd so it this y the front "freely" rotates

check u joints?

also are the boots on your cv shafts ripped or anything? i know my obs started clicking when i lost all the grease in my cvs and they went bad, lol

got 1 boot ripped, bout to fix that..but its not whats clicking, i thought it was at 1st but ive narrowed it down to the transfer case i pretty sure..

i didnt know that the boot gone bad will develop the ticking noise..i will look into this alil more,hard to tell without lifting the truck up

Did you ever find out what the noise was on your vehicle. I'm having the same problem, and i thought it was the front ujoints and mine is working fine. I changed my front diff over the winter because that went bad but still have this clicking noise.
