Ok, so I know the matching Chevy bumper and grill is popular to do with the HD hood...

This is the bumper I like, from the 06-07(classic) Sierras...

Any definitive info on the compatibility GMC to Chevy or GMC to earlier GMC? This bumper with the Chevy HD hood would be pretty slick, IMO

this has been done before and imo it looks ok but there is a huge fender gap let me look for the pic

I you do the hd gmc grill and bumper and only mount the chevy hood you'll need to modify the hood around the headlight area. Chevy hood and chevy grill you'll have the ugly gap by the fender and bumper. Complete gmc hd conversion and you'll only need to modify the mounting brackets for the bumper.

I say go with the gmc hd front end and add the hood.
