Front IFS Diff maintenance

I just picked up a used Escalade Front diff with 77k miles to replace mine which has 200k and needs a complete rebuild. The used one was $300 and I figured I'd just swap it in and could take my time to rebuild the old one and put an e-locker and I won't have any downtime on the Denali. Is there any maintenance other than oil change I should do before installing the used one in?

Yes rebuild it is very problematic breaks off retaining tab and breaks adjuster . take apart to know what it needs. 20s and 6.0 make short life of them.
Is there an easy way to check the tabs and adjusters without having to take everything apart? It's got really low miles and didn't have any issues prior to me purchasing it.

I am wrong take the five bolts and pull the long axle housing. No need to split case to check right side either. If any tabs are broken, they go behind adjuster and adjuster has to be driven out to replace tab I us yukon gear for parts and all ways replace left adjuster no matter what.

That means i would also need to pull the axles on both sides as well right?
