So I have questions, I recently bought a 2007 Denali. The right front seat is stuck all the way forward. Won’t go back. When you hit the switch, it sounds as tho it’s stuck.

It’s so far forward I wouldn’t be able to get to the front bolts to remove the seat.

Is there a way to manually slide the seat back?

Not that I know of, but others may have dealt with that. It's a screw type drive mechanism, so overriding it manually isn't possible unless the motor is removed.

You might have to get creative with a ratchet wrench or some other contraption to gain access to the front bolts. Can you remove the side plastic by chance to get more room?

That sucks but I would be very surprised that the design does not allow some sort of attachment removal, even with seat stuck forward. Like @B-train said, gain access thru the side panel to get a better look.

have you tried putting leverage on it while hitting the button to see if it will grab & go? like maybe have someone pull from the back while the switch is activated, maybe try jigging it at the same time pull & jiggle, might be worth a try

If you can get to four nuts that hold bottom cushion on that them off pull cushion up and see if you can manually turn screw to start it back. Good luck getting it to move.

These are screw drive mechanisms and sometimes if you bottom them out they get stuck. Try to look under the seat and see which way the motor is trying to turn the screw and try to help it pop loose with a pair of pliers.

Come to find out the motor is fine. The gears are stripped out. I ordered parts, and manually moved the seat back. Took a 5/16 socket and hammered it on to the end of the screw. And just turned each one til I got the seat to where I want it.

Wife sat in the seat for the first time yesterday and that’s when we found out that the heated seats don’t work. Light doesn’t even come on. So I may look for another seat all together. And use this one for parts. Since looking on the gm parts direct website. NOS parts for an 07 Denali are getting sparse.
