I think I actually pulled some motors off of some of those assemblies before throwing them away. Of course I made sure they we're good.

I have a few spares. The motor is wound like your suspension so the motor doesn't have to work so hard. If you try to remove it be very careful. You should be able to see if the regulator is bad by looking at the nylon rollers in the track attached to the window. If cost is an issue junk yards have tons of these units and most will test it for you before you buy it. You can also test the motor with a battery.

That's what happened to me, thus extra motors.I have a drivers side spare. I kept my drivers motor when my regulator went out. Also, in case you guys didn't realize it, the front and rear windows use the same motor. They are side specific, but not front to rear. So its only left and right sides have different motors, not front or rear. BUT... They DO have different regulators! Front and rear regulators are different, but the motors are the same if you unbolt them from the regulator. You can swap a motor from a front regulator to the back, as long as its on the same side of the truck. But the regulators jam up so often that they need to be replaced before the motors do, and they are usually sold as an assembly, so its easier to just replace the regulator and motor assembly as a whole.
