So recently I have been hearing a hum come from the front end while traveling over 40. If I turn right it gets worse and if I turn left the sound fades. That told me that the bearing on the front right was going out. Long story short I replaced the hub with a new OEM one and it’s nice and quiet now. So I was trying to figure out why it was failing at 47k miles. It didn’t have any play. What I found out was when I removed the speed sensor to investigate and look inside I noticed the o ring was smashed. I look in the hole and it’s all rusty. The hub when spun had a gritty feel to it. I’m assuming water was the culprit here. Anyone else see this? Any chance it’s on the other side? I did order 2 hubs because everyone knows how things work. Fox one side then the other craps out. Plus I had to wait a month for the part.
