I too thought I was getting horible mileage in my '02 yukon with 115k. I generally fill up when the Low Fuel Light comes on. Just to give me an accurate reference point. Now I've noticed that when I fill up soon after that light comes on, I can usually only pump about 4-5 gallons shy of what the stated fuel tank size is. This leads me to believe that when the low fuel light comes on, you still have 4-5 gallons left. I've been averaging 19.5 on gas and 16-17 on e85.

I'm not worried about what people avg,

I wanna know what's about the best people have ever gotten (over a whole tank)

I'm planning on a 400mile each way trip to my parents (80% interstate)
it should give me a pretty good idea, but I'll be pretty loaded down.

what do you pay for "Corn Juice" out there?
it's just as expensive as Petrol here in the PNW

so to use E85, means paying 1/3 more than for gas

1.80 a gallon for e85(maybe lower I can't remeber) Premium was 2.89 e10 2.59 and 87 octane is 2.69. I would still use it if it cost the same as regular because I like to farm and I work at an ethanol plant.

last time I got E85, (for my mom's FlexFuel impalla) back in 2008
it actually cost the same as Premium (when I'd read it was about half the price in the midwest.

it's subsodized by the govt,
there's no reason for it to be this expensive

12 MPG at 70-75 mph on the NJ turn pike = all flat road :disgust:
this has me terrified especially with a summer time Florida trip scheduled (1300 miles one way)
