Ok guys Ive searched the web for an answer to this. I have a CEL on for a loose fuel cap. i checked the cap. The seal looked good. I crawled under the truck to check the connections. I found a hose that was disconnected. It looks likes a small vacuum hose. I can find where it goes. Can someone please tell me where it goes? There is not info on its routining. I checked for the evap routining sticker under the hood. Its gone of course. Any help would be much appreciated

The hose runs over the top of the spare tire. I will get a pic after work

Same exact thing happening to me right now on my 2007 GMC Yukon XL 2WD. Check engine light is on. Codes say evap something or other. I have a thin tube hanging under the rear of my vehicle near the fuel fill neck. Looks like it goes back towards the front of the vehicle via the center, probably towards the spare tire like OP said.

Turns out this was the line for the rear washer fluid. I got tired of the engine light, remote start not working and the occasional failure to start without pumping the gas and took it to the shop. According to the ticket, they replaced the evap canister, vent, and purge valve. Light is off and the remote start works again. For today at least.
