It is time for a fuel filter on my Suburban Duramax. What is everyone liking/using? I have always liked K&N oil filters but never used a K&N fuel filter

Please advise.

Ordered the GM filter from Rock Auto. Looks like easy job to replace.

Thanks, everyone.

Changed it, yesterday...Easy Peasy! I could get under the Surbaban enough to access and remove the filter and housing but could not see to remove and replace the little O ring on the stem. Did it by feel and checked with a mirror. Might put it on the ramps, next time.

Thanks, everyone.

Many times I just reuse the same O rings. They don't wear like people think they do. If they are not torn or damaged, they can be reused many times. It's a static seal, not a reciprocating seal. If it doesn't leak in the first 10 minutes, it won't leak in the next year.

I might get Flack for saying this, but I've worked around O rings all my life in Aerospace...

Wife and family smelled a weird burning smell in the cabin yesterday. Said it was very strong. I wasn’t home but a friend checked the oil and the dipstick was totally dry. They put in 5 qts of oil but the dipstick still reads dry. I got home this morning to take a look and make sure everything was fine and the dipstick is 100% dry. Literally not even a film on it after multiple checks. Any idea what could be going on? We have a small oil leak but nothing that would cause something like this to happen.

Yes, I thought about leaving the old one but as it comes with new ones ...I might as well install them
