Can some one tell me where i can find the fuel filter so i can change it. I got under the truck and i was nit able to find it

I have an 04 Z71 tahoe and it's right under the forward drivers side door inboard on the frame.

What model year?
On the 07+ it's one unit with the fuel pump. Located in the fuel tank. You'll have to change complete fuel pump and drop the tank.

the flex fuel filters require a speacial 70 dollar tool and the filters are more expensive themselves
the refular filters are cheap and easy to replace just remember to pull the relay for the fuel pump under the hood and start up the engine run it till it dies
otherwise when you losen that filter youll be covered in gas

My truck is a 05 YD, I looked again and I still cant find the filter

on an 05 its directly under the drivers seat its about the size of a beer can i believe its on the inside of the drivers side frame rail

In 05 they changed the location from the frame under the driver seat to the gas tank. The filter is good for the life of the pump.
