So this has been an on going thing for the past 2 months.
My fuel gauge quit reading and the needle would just bounce every where for about 3 weeks. Then it just stuck on 3/4 and stayed for about a week then got stuck on full. Keep in mind my needle was doing the blurry thing ever since i got the car 6 months ago. So i then dropped the tank pulled out the pump and and changed the sending unit not the whole pump module just the sending unit. Got every thing hooked back up and then the gas gauge was stuck on 3/4 full again and the needle was blurry again. After 3 days the needle quit being blurry and the now it just jumps to past full and stays there for a couple hours then bounce back to empty and stays there for a couple of hours and when i turn off the car it goes to 1/4. So my new cluster came today 575 bucks down the drain and still is doing the same thing. So Im lost, Ive been fighting this thing for 2 months and Im going broke. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this crap.
As for the temp gauge it never goes over 110 there is no way the car is running that cool i changed the temp sending unit also and no change even in the new cluster it still doesnt change.
Also with that fuel pump when i dropped the tank and pulled it out found out it was aftermarket fuel pump so it was changed before i got the car
one more thing is it possible to take the 2 wires running to sending unit off the fuel pump and run them to a completely different fuel level gauge.
